Overview

Equine View is a horse management app and website. We are committed to transparency about data. In short: we do not collect, store, or use your personal data from the app. The app works entirely on your device and does not send any information to us.

The Equine View App (Windows, macOS, Linux)

• No telemetry. The app does not "phone home". It does not send usage data, diagnostics, or any information to our servers or third parties.
• All data stays on your device. Horse records, feeds, events, exercises, and all other data are stored locally on the device where you install the app. We have no access to this data.
• No account required. You do not need to sign in or create an account to use the app. There is no cloud sync or central database that holds your information.

We do not collect, process, or retain any personal data through the Equine View application.

When you visit the Equine View website (equineview.org or related domains), the following may apply:

Contact form

If you fill out the contact form on our website, your submission (including any email address or message you provide) is sent via Google Forms. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your details for marketing or share them with third parties. We do not keep a separate database of contact form submissions; responses are handled as one-off conversations and we do not retain your data for longer than necessary to deal with your request.

Advertising and cookies

This website may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show relevant ads and to measure ad performance. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can control or opt out of personalised advertising via your browser or Google's ad settings.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or sell:

• Personal data from the Equine View app (names, horse details, feeds, events, etc.)
• Usage or analytics data from the app
• Any data beyond what you voluntarily provide in the website contact form, and we do not retain that beyond responding to you

Third parties

The only third-party services mentioned in this policy are:

• Google Forms — for the contact form on this website (see above).
• Google AdSense — for advertising on this website (see above).

If you obtain the app through the Microsoft Store (or other store), the store operator may collect data in line with their own privacy policies (e.g. for purchase and updates). We do not receive any of that data from the store.

Your rights

Because we do not keep your data from the app and limit website contact data to replying to you, there is no ongoing file we hold on you. If you have submitted the contact form and want to ask us to delete or not use your details, please get in touch using the same contact form and we will honour your request.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
