Overview

Equine View is a horse management website. We are committed to transparency about data. In short: to use Equine View, you must have a login linked to an active paid subscription. Core horse management data is stored in your browser's local storage and synced to Google Firestore so your data is available when you sign in.

Your account and access

• Login required. You must sign in to use Equine View.
• No public self-signup. Users cannot create their own login directly through the website.
• Subscription required. Access is only provided to users with a paid subscription.
• Authentication provider. Login is handled using Firebase Authentication.

We process account data needed to authenticate users and provide access to subscribed customers.

How Equine View stores your data

• Local storage. Horse records, feeds, events, exercises, and related data are stored in your browser's local storage for day-to-day use.
• Cloud sync. Data is synced to Google Firestore so it can be backed up and made available across your sessions/devices where supported.
• Purpose limitation. We use this data to operate and maintain the Equine View service.

Contact form

If you fill out the contact form on our website, your submission (including any email address or message you provide) is sent via Google Forms. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your details for marketing or share them with third parties. We do not keep a separate database of contact form submissions; responses are handled as one-off conversations and we do not retain your data for longer than necessary to deal with your request.

Advertising and cookies

This website may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show relevant ads and to measure ad performance. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can control or opt out of personalised advertising via your browser or Google's ad settings.

Data we do not collect

We do not sell your personal data. We also do not collect more than is needed to run the service. In particular, we do not collect:

• Public self-registration details (because self-signup is not currently available)
• Any data beyond what you provide through your account use and the website contact form

Your rights

You can contact us to request deletion or correction of account-related information we control. If you have submitted the contact form and want us to delete or stop using those details, contact us and we will honour your request where applicable.

Planned payment and account provisioning changes

We plan to add Stripe for subscription payments and automate account creation plus login email delivery after successful subscription. These features are not active yet. This privacy policy will be updated again when these changes go live, including what payment and onboarding data is processed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when we do. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
